Honda Cars

Honda are one of the most recognised names in the world of motor car manufacturing and have earned a well deserved reputation for building quality vehicles that motorists around the world just love to drive.
Want to drive in style? Then consider the Honda Civic. The Civic comes as a 3-door, 5-door, Hybrid or Type R model. With a variety of options to choose from in the range as a whole the number of features which come as standard are mind boggling. They include SSD (solid state drive), an integrated satellite navigation system complete with traffic message channel and integrated Bluetooth on the top of the range Type S GT-T model.
Honda have learned valuable lessons from their involvement in Formula One motor racing to make the new Civic even better. Cruise control, audio, driver information and voice recognition satellite navigation have all combined to give what Honda call a "Dual Zone" drivers environment.
The Accord is one of Hondas top models and the latest range has added flair. The Accord comes in five options, the ES, ES GT, EX, EX GT and the top of the range Type S. The range comes with a choice of diesel or petrol engines and with manual or automatic transmission. The exception is the Type S which is powered via a 2.2 iDTEC engine with manual transmission.
Added to the Honda Accord range is the Tourer. The Accord Tourer offers the same choice of petrol engine as the rest of the Accord stable but for the first time offers automatic transmission with the diesel version.
The new CR-V range offers diesel performance as Honda have incorporated the 2.2 i-DTEC engine. The i-DTEC is a more powerful yet cleaner engine. It boasts enhanced acceleration and is hailed as one of the quietest diesel engines to have been developed. The CR-V also comes with a choice of automatic or manual transmission.
The Honda FR-V offers both style and comfort. The FR-V is a car built to carry up to six people. The style is exemplified by is chrome door handles, grille, and roof rails giving the car both a touch of elegance as well as a sporty look.
The company are rightly proud of their green credentials and they developed this a step further with the 1.3 IMA (Petrol Hybrid) CVT engine in their latest Honda Insight. This engine switches between electric and petrol power.
For those seeking a compact car the Honda Jazz is hard to beat. Compact it may be, but the Jazz offers plenty of space on the inside for both driver and passengers. The whole vehicle is a testament to the Honda design skills as they have managed to introduce a longer wheel base while compacting the engine space, to create more cabin and storage room.

Performance Honda Acura Exhaust Headers

The first major component of your performance exhaust system is the header. Most Honda Acura come with a crude cast iron log-type manifold stock from the factory. However Honda Acura manifolds are much better than the ones found on a domestic cars but more power can be made with a real tubular header. How much power you make with a header depends also on what is behind the header. If the stock exhaust system includes restrictive muffler design, small diameter exhaust pipes with a lots of wrinkle bends on them the header is not going to have a chance of making a big difference in the performance and horsepower. A good header can be expected to make 3-5 horsepower with the stock exhaust system from the header back. That sounds disappointing but on a engine with numerous modifications the same performance (aftermarket) header can gain you 10 horsepower. Any of the big power adding modifications like nitrous oxide, supercharger virtually require a free flowing exhaust and performance header if you want to take advantage of there power potentials.
Performance headers usually come in 4-2-1 design where each cylinder has its own exhaust pipe than they merge into a pair and each pair of pipes combine into a single pipe. Usually cylinders 4 and 1 are combined and cylinder 2 and 3 make the second pair. The cylinders are combined in such a way because the engine pistons fire 1 and 3 then 2 and 4 and the exhaust of cylinder 4 is going to create a little (from 5 to 15 psi) negative pressure for a cylinder 1 that is going to help to suck out the exhaust gas out of that cylinder.
Installing performance header is quite easy. Most aftermarket headers are design to use all the factory mounting points and brackets. When shopping for a header look for clean welds and thick flange plates for a good seal. The stock gasket should be replaced and it is going to work perfectly fine with your performance header. Make sure to check if the engine in your Honda Acura car is the original or it's an engine swap. Most headers don't have brackets for mounting the factory heat shield but it is pretty sure you will want to show off your new header anyway.
Performance exhaust header can be installed on Prelude, Civic, Rsx, s2000, Integra or any other model Honda Acura car.

Electric Vehicles - 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid Review

The 2007 Honda civic Hybrid will run you approximately $22,000 without any of the special add-on features. If you're going to buy a hybrid with features such as the Satellite-Linked Navigation System(TM) and fog lights and all of that, you're looking at a $30,000 vehicle. All prices aside, I will take you into this vehicle and show you what it's all about.
Honda Civic Hybrid Standard Features
The first standard feature on the list is Multipoint fuel injection. Multipoint fuel injection is a system that injects the fuel into each cylinder as opposed to a carburetor or throttle body injections that injects fuel at one point in the intake system.
Next we have the, Drive-by-Wire Throttle System which improves engine efficiency while reducing vehicle emissions. The way this is done is it replaces the old throttle control system with an electronic system that is more accurate, requires no oil or service, and does not get affected by outside forces such as hot or cold weather.
Following that we have front-wheel drive. This feature obviously means the front, rather than that rear wheels move the car. There are many reasons for this that has to do with control and handling.
Direct Ignition System with Immobilizer is the next feature. Theoretically, the advantage of this system rather than traditional ignition systems is that it doesn't have parts that can wear out and cause you problems in the future when you try to start your car.
Next on the list we have unit-body construction. This is a system that just tries to lower the weight of the car so it's fuel efficient.
This vehicle also comes with, MacPherson strut front suspension which is not better than double wishbone suspension but it's still better than most. Only problem with this is that the wheel actually will bend in which effects the sharpness of the turn. Well, at least you get to save a few bucks here because of this feature.
Lastly, this vehicle comes with a spare tire like many other cars do just to add that extra feature on the list.
Honda Civic Hybrid Specifications
The Honda Civic Hybrid runs on an In-Line 4-Cylinder aluminum-alloy engine. It has a 1339 cc. displacement, 110 @ 6000 horsepower, 123 @ 1000-2500 toque, and 10:8:1 compression ratio. It received an AT-PZEV fuel rating (best) which determines how well it runs on the same amount of fuel compared to other cars.
Honda Civic Hybrid Mileage
This hybrid vehicle gets approximately 49 miles per gallon (51 highway) meaning you will get more for the money. If you want to see how much you can save, head over to the Hybrid Honda Civil official site (http://automobiles.honda.com) and use there savings calculator. The hybrid only requires unleaded gasoline in case you were wondering.
Honda Civic Hybrid Measurements
The following are measurements that depict the volume inside the vehicle. If you're a big person, you will need to look for these to make sure you're comfortable. In any case, the only reason why I condone the use of a large car is 1) camping equipment, 2) big people. You have to be comfortable and if your not, you have my blessing to pollute. The head room for a Honda Civic is approximately 39 inches in the front and 37 inches in the back. The leg room is approximately 42 inches in the front and 34 inches in the back. The shoulder room in the front is approximately 54 inches in the front and 52 inches in the back.
Honda Civic Hybrid Awards for 2007
This vehicle has won the 2007 car of the year because it is a useful vehicle, it's affordable, and practical for all drivers today. It was also chosen because it is a good choice for first time drivers. This is important because the car people drive when there young is the brand they like to stick with later on.
Consumer guide named the Honda Civil Hybrid the best buy for compact cars. Out of 80 or so cars, this vehicle one based on, such as price, features, performance, accommodations, fuel economy, reliability records and resale value.
Finally, the Honda received the CarDomain People's Choice Award for "Most Mod-Friendly Car." This award is given to the car voted on by more than 1 million visitors of cardomain.com.
This is the gist of the Honda Civic Hybrid. If you would like more information to purchase one of these vehicles today, please visit the official site for more information.
